Day 1:
Traverse City, MI
From Wisconsin take the Michigan Car Ferry from Manitowoc to Ludington and travel to Traverse City, MI. Check into hotel and have dinner on site.
Day 2:
Mackinac Island
Breakfast and depart for Old Mission Pennisula. View the Old Mission Lighthouse, now a private residence, located on State Park land at the 45th parallel, half way between the equator and the north pole. Travel to Mackinaw City. In Mackinaw City view the Old Mackinaw Lighthouse before crossing over to Mackinac Island. During the ferry ride you will pass by the Round Island Lighhouse. Check in to historic hotel on Mackinac Island and enjoy dinner in town.
Day 3:
Mackinac Island/Sault Ste. Marie
Breakfast and horse drawn carriage tour of the island this morning. Tour Fort Mackinac and then enjoy a sumptuous buffet lunch at the Grand Hotel. Return ferry to the mainland after lunch. Depart for Sault St. Marie. Check in to harbour front hotel. Soo Locks Dinner Cruise.
Day 4:
Lighthouse Cruise/St. Ignace
Four hour Lighthouse River Cruise on the St. Mary’s River. Breakfast included. Travel through Hiawatha National Forest along scenic Shoreline Road to Brimley, MI and view Point Iroquois Lighthouse. Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum and Lighthouse at Whitefish Point. At Tahquamenon Falls State Park, walk through a virgin pine forest to view the beautiful amber-colored falls. Depart for St. Ignace. Check into hotel and dinner nearby.
Day 5:
Breakfast and check out. Depart for home.
