Imagine Mackinac Island in a blaze of color and fragrance during their famous Lilac Festival. Combined with a full tour of the island on a horse drawn carriage, and scenic ferry ride to and from the island, this Lilac Festival experience will be long remembered.
Day 1:
Frankenmuth
You will arrive early afternoon in Frankenmuth, where we enjoy browsing and shopping in their downtown area, or visit a large outlet mall. You’ll also visit Bronner’s Christmas Store before settliing into our Frankenmuth area hotel.
Day 2:
Mackinaw City
You will visit the beautiful Mackinac Crossings, a collection of 50 boutique shops, entertainment and food establishments on the waterfront in Mackinaw City. Stay one night at a lovely hotel on the shores of Mackinaw.
Day 3 and 4:
Mackinac Island Lilac Festival and Parade
A short, relaxing ferry boat ride takes us to Mackinac Island to tour the island on a horse-drawn carriage. The island is alive with the color and fragrance of thousands of lilacs in their peak. You will stay two nights in a historic downtown hotel. After breakfast return by ferry to Mackinaw City and depart for home.
